行业挑战
Agricultural machinery is built from abrasion-resistant wear plate, structural plate and heavy tube, and it is built in seasonal bursts. A combine header programme that runs for nine months of the year can face a 60% demand spike in the pre-harvest window, and that spike is usually absorbed by overtime, temporary labour and parts cut outside the plant.
HB400 and HB450 wear plate at 8–30 mm is the hardest material in the shop. Plasma leaves heavy dross, oxidises the cut edge and removes surface hardening, and the edge has to be ground before welding anyway. Bandsawing thick plate wastes 12–15% of every plate as offcut.
PTO brackets, gear housings and axle supports are low volume but high complexity, and each one was treated as a special job that never justified the setup time of a CNC plasma table. The plant had effectively stopped making them in-house.
Quality problems stayed invisible until the field. A wear plate with a stress riser at the cut edge cracks in a season, and the failure is traced back to the plate supplier rather than to the fabricator who cut it.

The LP-F6000 Heavy-Duty Fiber Series is built for exactly this work — thick, dirty, abrasive plate with the beam power to cut 30 mm HB400 in one pass and the source quality to leave a clean, weld-ready edge.
Because the cut needs no consumable gases and no water, the machine keeps running through the harvest-season dust that would stop a plasma table within a week, and it needs far less consumable maintenance than oxy-fuel or plasma.
The LP-T Series Laser Tube Cutting line handles the boom, frame and linkage tube that was previously cut by hand on a bandsaw or shipped out to a merchant supplier. Geometry comes from the same DXF the purchasing office already sends, so part-number traceability is preserved end to end.
Nesting is the lever most overlooked in this sector. A 6 mm and a 12 mm wear plate part that shared a plasma nest on a common cut order can be nested independently on the laser, and the machine can switch thickness on the fly. Across a year of wear-plate work, that alone is worth 3–8 percentage points of material yield.

Wear plate cut once, welded directly

A fibre edge on HB400 carries almost no dross and no visible heat-affected zone, so the grinding step before welding disappears on most parts. That single change typically removes 20–30 minutes of grinding per wear-plate assembly.

Seasonal capacity without hiring

Automating loading with the LP-A Series and running two machines under one operator turns a pre-harvest bottleneck into a controlled overtime pattern. Plants typically clear the peak with 30–50% less temporary labour than the previous plasma-and-bandsaw cell.

In-house sourcing of low-volume parts

Parts that used to be bought from an outside supplier can be produced in-house with a setup time measured in minutes. Lead time on special brackets drops from days to hours, and the margin on those parts stays inside the business.

3–8 points of material yield

Independent nesting by thickness and a larger usable sheet area recover 3–8 percentage points of plate yield per year. On a shop consuming 400 tonnes of wear plate annually, that is a material cost line that moves without a single change in volume.
