Laser Welding Seat Frame: Process Advice
- 01Step 01
Confirm Material and Thickness
Check that your seat frame material and thickness suit laser welding, using the LP-W Series Laser Welding and LP-W2000-3kW information as your reference before proceeding.
- 02Step 02
Select Parameters and Gas
Set cutting and welding parameters and choose the gas based on the LP-W Series Laser Welding guidance, and never invent values that are not documented in the site content.
- 03Step 03
Plan Fixturing and Support
Design fixturing and support for the seat frame so the part is held securely and consistently during welding, drawing on the LP-W2000-3kW product information.
- 04Step 04
Validate Before Production
Validate the process on sample seat frames before full production, following the approach shown in the Sanghvi Auto Components laser cell case.
Preliminary process advice based on the requirement you described. Final parameters are confirmed by a trial cut on your material before production.
LP-W Series laser welding for seat frames
The LP-W Series Laser Welding line, including the LP-W2000-3kW, is our laser welding offering suited to seat frame welding work.
A 3 kW laser welding cell with a 2000×1000 mm fixture for sheet and tube assemblies. It keyhole-welds 1.5–3 mm lap joints, handles 0.8–4 mm stainless and galvanized sheet up to 2 mm, and replaces TIG stations with a faster, more repeatable process.
- Power
- 3 kW
- Cutting area
- 2000×1000 mm welding fixture, expandable to 3000×1500 mm
- Accuracy
- ±0.1 mm
A 3 kW fibre laser in a 3000×1500 mm format, the LP-F1503-3kW cuts 3 mm carbon steel at about 12 m/min and reaches 10 mm mild steel at rated power. Pneumatic pallet exchange, automatic nozzle control and a compact footprint make it a strong production cell for small and mid-size job shops.
- Power
- 3 kW
- Cutting area
- 3000×1500 mm
- Accuracy
- ±0.02 mm
The 1.5 kW version of the LP-F1500 platform for thin sheet, precision blanks and high-volume small parts. It cuts thin stainless at more than 30 m/min, minimizes heat-affected zones on delicate workpieces and draws considerably less power than comparable carbon dioxide installations.
- Power
- 1.5 kW
- Cutting area
- 3000×1500 mm
- Accuracy
- ±0.02 mm
The 40 kW flagship with an 8000×2500 mm bed, cutting 30 mm carbon steel in one pass and handling the largest structural blanks in the LaserPeak range. It targets shipbuilding, defence platforms and heavy equipment where very thick plate is cut as single pieces.
- Power
- 40 kW
- Cutting area
- 8000×2500 mm
- Accuracy
- ±0.02 mm
A 30 kW laser on the 6000×2500 mm platform for the thickest production plate. It cuts 25 mm carbon steel at about 2.5 m/min and 30 mm at roughly 1.5 m/min, letting fabricators consolidate large-plate work that previously went to waterjet or multiple oxy-fuel stations.
- Power
- 30 kW
- Cutting area
- 6000×2500 mm
- Accuracy
- ±0.02 mm
The LP-A2000 automates sheet handling around LaserPeak fibre cutting machines, with interchangeable lifting tables, automatic pallet exchange, sheet following and robot loading arms. Unattended hours increase while operators move from handling heavy plate to programming and inspection.
- Cutting area
- Serves 1500×750 to 6000×2500 mm sheet platforms
- Accuracy
- ±0.05 mm sheet positioning
